More about Matt Taylor
As a resident of West Sacramento for over 12 years and with 3 children attending schools in Yolo County I am deeply committed to the academic success of all children in Yolo County schools. I have had the privilege of serving on the Yolo County Board of Education for the last four years and was elected president of the board for one year.
During those 4 years, we have balanced the budget of the county office, negotiated pay increases for our teachers, improved attendance rates for our students on probation, developed strong partnerships with local businesses to help train our students for the workforce and this summer we are opening the Yolo County Career Academy where young adults can complete the high school diploma while working in high tech careers.
I am proud of the work that we have done, and if elected, look forward to helping to bring innovative educational programs to our students throughout Yolo County.
